Convert now, leave town or die
intolerant barbarians demand
and do so in their god's name
the falsely righteous fools
insecure in their beliefs.

How else explain their lack of faith
that their Book can't stand beside others?
Need it really be protected
by isolation.
ideological walls,
machine guns,
THEM?

So they wage war against the world
with fervent radical eyes
as if history won't laugh at them
once they are gone
crushed
for having worn out the patience
of civilization.

I'm a news junkie. I have been keeping up with Isis and wrote a small piece on my Facebook page, not a poem. Your poem tells it as it is. I'm seeing it but couldn't put in poem as eloquently as you have.
