January
My haunting fear, you inspire me to write.
How I hate the way you stay, stuck and sit,
Invading my mind day and through the night,
Always dreaming about the hypocrite.
Let me compare you to a sanctuary?
You are more rising and suffocating
Snow chills the berries of January,
And wintertime has the daunting dating.
How do I hate you? Let me count the ways.
I hate your vaunting cold, empty and dark.
Thinking of your great empty fills my days.
My hate for you is the mackerel shark.
Now I must away with a wanting heart,
Remember my green words whilst we're apart.

Interesting
It seems to me as if you’ve personified January and maybe don’t like the winter? Lol. I like the use of the sonnet format. You did a great job here. I’m not a fan of winter traditionally but this year I’m trying some new perspective. It’s half working.
Good job

HI Tim!
HI Tim!
Being born in December, I actually love winter. January has been a fickle month for me so, I tried to personify it. Thank you for your kind words, I really appreciate that. Hope you enjoyed it!
