LAST CHANCE TOMORROW IT WILL GO
I don't like go for any cremation
it gives me a feeling of damnation
but
today I went to the 4th day
the ceremony was gracious
all carnations
and white Lily s
a very high lavish tea
lawns were packed fully
it was is if he were reborn
in heaven
all earthly birthdays
will be forgotten
but this one
will be a remembrance
for all times to come
may now Divinity
look after him
as he finally is now
with HIM
Amen

A very nice...
party for the dead man! Sounds like the only reason that anyone showed up, was to be seen. This surprised me; it was very straight forward and spelled out. Nice to get that from you for a change. ~ Geezer.

I'm thinking...
that he may have been a very influential man and while some few came to send him off to the next world, [like you] the most of them were just hangers on. Again, nice to have such a straight forward poem from you. Refreshing! ~ Geezer.

Hi loved
I am seriously considering cremation when my time comes. The blood sucking mortuaries will get as little out of me as possible. Plus it will keep people from forming traffic jams coming to visit my grave (this is where you should laugh ). I enjoyed your poem but I'm sorry about the muse which lead you to write it.......stan

Then we did not accept we will not come back ...now we know WE WON'T then
why use large chunks of costly land , beneath which we now find nothing.... not even maggots visit and maintenance is also costly no?

Last Chance
Hi, Lovedly,
This is so tender. "A very lavish tea" on the lawn, celebrating rebirth. That is a proper send-off. Beautiful. I, too, will be cremated - I don't think Mother Earth needs any more hardware in her belly!
Thank you,
Lav

we must compose poems betwixt burial and cremation WHICH AND WHY
We must compose poems betwixt burial and cremation WHICH AND WHY
The body once dead is gone for ever ...none has come back ever
and
shall never
Save land for those who live
place photographs at home of those since gone
the third generation won't know
who was who...
Cremate electronically with speed
save wood for forests and greenery
No one will come back this we all must remember
the gone ones will never know either
who was who
now no more

dear Lovedly,
we are born, we live, we die! I don't know if there is a rebirth. if not, what is the friggin' point? Steve and I were discussing this very thing this morning. i am sorry for the loss of your friend, and I enjoyed your poem. really well done.
*hugs & love, Cat
