Living with homelessness!

Shadowy figures,
creep across the dark alley’s.
Waiting to prey on the weak.
Terrifying screams,
accompany their sordid attacks.
Their uncanny cries fill the streets!
If your out on the avenues past midnight.
You’ll find yourself in the company of the homeless!
The mentally Ill make their homes here.
The shelters can’t hold all of them.
They aren’t always extraordinarily evil,
and they don’t always possess malintent.
Your best bet yet, is to ignore them
and avoid any contact with them or their kin!
The sadness which surrounds them
Is only a product of others misdeeds.
You can’t place the blame on their condition.
Their situation is just out of hand.
When you see them you may want to help,
but their suffering in life will never end.
You can offer your help for a moment,,
but you’ll never release them from their grief!
Their situation may sound alarming,
but in life there’s not much you can do!
The day to day struggle of the homeless
almost always results in some sort of sin!
You’ve got to remember the rule of the dive
What might be a five for you will be their ten.
Walking away may protect you,
but by offering them help you only pretend.
If you really wanted to help,
you’d start up a charity for them!

About This Poem

Last Few Words: I always like to write about this, because it isn't going away! The dreams I had as a boy are all but lost, In a few months or years this could be me. If I live for five more year a lucky man I will be. Religion was a calming friend, but now I don't know where I stand. My reputation with deity is in dispute, but I still feel like mercy is riding shotgun just for me.

I think

Fewer words.

You are good at description....but the more you add,it leaves less for the reader to engage. Are you sure you dont want to be a writer of stories instead?
