The Lost Muse

So many days have passed by,
many nights have run too.
My pen's idle, my ink's dry,
can't say why or what I'm through.

The sun yet is still bright,
the shining stars and the moon;
I can see a promising light,
would it infuse my muse soon?

Hi Rula,

You've been missed. I hate to say
how much I relate to your poem,
my paper is blank so much of the
time and I can't find my pen.

Terrible to feel lost in the dry.

Hello Richard

and many thanks for the read. So bad to hear that you're suffering the same. I keep saying to my self that it's only because I am so busy these days. I have moved to Jordan. New country and a new house. As I said, too busy with new changes. Let's wish it to be just a short time for you and I.
Thank you again.

hello Rula,

I know the condition which you describe...it is a frequent caller to my house. it leaves a person feeling abandoned and lost :(
I hope both you and Richard are soon called upon by your special friend named inspiration. you have done a very good job of expressing this condition! this poem deserves a title.

always, Cat

I can relate...

It's a distressing feeling to say the least, when you have the desire to put 'pen to paper,' but the words don't want to cooperate. I did read the previous reviews and being somewhat new to the site, I can tell you have been missed. With that in mind, welcome back. After reading this, it sounds to me as though your muse is returning.
I hope your poetic voice continues to move forward!
