Love Land

There is a place among the clouds where music plays, sweet and low.
It is a place where love and lovers continue to go.
Where loves never grow old or cease.
It is a place where there reins serenity, and peace.

Honeysuckle hangs from every latticed walk.
Roses fill the air with fragrance thick.
Where lovers go hand in hand as they talk.
Where jasmine, scents the starlit nights.

You can find this place, if you look.
It’s just past the flowerbed and left of the brook.
It’s just over the rainbow, and a little past the moonlight night.
Up over the hill, and a little further still...not yet in sight.

Well… I can't say for certain, how to get there.
I just know it's somewhere....

Reveries again after Stan's blossom

Now you both put me in the mood for the past of Victorian dresses and moonlight rendezvou's
and I can dream myself into the romantic vein, where the scents and visions take on a slightly blurred essence of being, magical and almost unreal; and yet I have seen and been there too...ah dreamers...

I am very pleased to have your comments. This is a poem I wrote some time ago. I too felt it had a Victorian feel to it. I wanted to give a glimpse of a place where you are transported to serenity and bliss. I hope I did that.

the write flows through

the write flows through nicely between the physical and meta physical worlds of love and romance and i believe there is an underlying message between the lines which appeals to the lovers..."if you look enough around you you will discover your sanctuary and revel in it"..is that what you wish to communicate here?...i liked it for sure..

Yes, that it what I wanted to convey. I think it doesn't matter what we search for its there. We just have to be open and willing to finding it. I wrote this after I decided to put the past behind me. Its an old one of mine maybe some 7 years old. I am going through these poems again. I will post a few more for comments.

Good to know i read your poem correctly and my perception about the theme was right....it would be nice to see you post more from your past collection which could be revealing the various moods of love...nice to know you have moved ahead and hopefully discovering new sanctuaries...
