Midnight Mission

The bathroom quest in the wee hours
not to be taken lightly.
No lights please!
An attempt to preserve what’s
left of my retinas.

I feel my way out of bed and along the walls to
that porcelain oasis in the night.
Then "Eureka" and a sigh of relief.
Mission accomplished!

Dry feet an indication of accuracy within
a qualifying standard.
But daylight inspection will be
the better judge of marksmanship.
And now to retrace those careful
steps to that waiting bed

Lol - except for the missing the porcelain bit.....
Definitely the no lights thing - I actually keep my eyes closed :)
So annoying that increased need for the bathroom in the middle of the night as we get old lol

beautiful

you know that word beauty is ban, or hated in some places, so I'll give this more than beauty , let me say inanimate, is this not beauties forlorn name --to come?
