Moon Walk

We walked together around the moon
hoping we would see our friends
everywhere passing the time.

"Will they be here, do you think?"
“I’m sure of it. They’ve had forever
and a day to jump over it.”

About This Poem

Last Few Words: A little bit of silliness to end the year. This was inspired by a wonderful illustration by an artist going by the name moon_mxtr on Insty. This piece would probably work much better if we could include images on Neopoet - sigh... someday...
