Mr Happy

It's a very simple cup
With " Mr Happy" on it.
A round body
Yellow in colour
Small hands
Small legs
And a very large smile.

It resonated with me
Because of the mood I'm in.
I'm happy
And I'll yell it to the roof tops.
I only have here
I only have only now
And I want to express my joy
At being.

To quote Bruce,
I am enough,
Enough to be joyous
In this moment in time.
This is all I have
And all I wish to have.

I saw that cup
And I smiled
From deep inside of me.

Not only the stillness
Not only the peace
But the sustained satisfaction.
This is what this cup
Represents for me
And about me.

About This Poem

Last Few Words: Just a story about me buying a coffee cup at the local opportunity shop, and how it affected me. I was instantly drawn to it, sitting in the tray about to be placed on the shelf with all the other items. It reminded me that I was happy, and that is why I bought it.

Hope you

Joy whatever you drink in this cup. As I feel it represents more than a cup. It's a reminder of many good things that one might go through.
Mine is white and with golden big font you can read SELFIE. I admire it too, but never thought to describe it the way you did!

Do you think "satisfaction" might flow smoother than "contentedness" in the last stanza?
Just a suggestion.
Enjoyed reading your raw piece anyway.
Thank you for sharing.
