A Muse
Listen to the words
Which are sung in my voice
And use them to inspire
Your verses
Hold tight to me
And let my wings
Carry you to places
Yet unseen
Open your mind's eye
So as to record
All that you are about
To gaze upon
Do not ask,
But rather contemplate
so as to later put pen to paper
of all the wonders you will illustrate
Let your pen dance on paper
Without thoughts
Of where it might go
Free yourself and let it flow
Your moment is not now
It is when I am gone
Only then will you understand
All that I have said
Look inside yourself
It is all there
The universal beauty
You have seen and learned
The music of words
That is heard inside your head
Comes from a realm
Far from this earth
Listen,
I am your Muse!

Hi Eddie
Now this was good. Almost as if the muse really was talking to such as us. But being me I can't help but give some alternative for you to smoke over :
L-8 try not yet seen or yet unseen
L-15 change to to onto.....try saying that 5 times fast lol
L-16 try illustrate instead of literate
As usual these are only suggestions that if ignored won't bother me at all.............stan

Stan,
Thank you!
I will think about it awhile. It is what I wanted, for the reader to feel that way.
I CHANGE SOME THINGS PER YOUR SUGGESTIONS

Dear Eddie,
Wonderfully inspirational! I know of a few young poets (especially) who could benefit from the reading this and gleaning the advice held within. I have one suggestion:
so as to later pen to paper (incert the word "put" before "pen" or something like it)
Your writes are always filled with such tangible energy! Cannot choose favorite lines as I would have to quote the whole poem back at you.
always, Cat

This is advice and inspiration I need. I think sometimes I have run out of words to string together for a poem. I like the visual image of your wings carrying me to places yet unseen.

Wow
Eddie
I felt this one and it is really great. You have gotten so much better here. I love this part. It spoke volumes to me:
Your moment is not now
It is when I am gone
Only then will you understand
All that I have said
Just lovely Eddie. Nothing to fix

Mona,
For a poet, if they can touch one person. it is a great reward.
Thank you Mona!

Your writing has improved out of site, Eddie,
but the last few poems of yours I read seem to be "try hards". Trying to be flowerfully, ornamentally meaningful, which takes away from the sting of the meaning for me.
If you combine you disciplined writing with some more plain spoken truths and emotions I think you might be on to something.
In short, don't be so poetic! [grins]

Hahaha!
I never really thought myself poetic. Maybe this was a typo by you and you mean pathetic? LMFAO!
thanks, I wil keep that in mind for my next write.
(as he scratches is head wondering, "what the hell is he talking about?")

that would not be a typo, it would be Freudian slip
What I am talking about is - give the bastards hell!
