Musings

How could I once believe
there were no legends other than mine
or no lips singing of riches
nurtured by spirits of sky and rock?
Here I stand on a land
whose wounds bleed from lances
driven into undefiled Earth,
my own God will never heal.

I have no doubt...

that we all have the same outlook on life in general; most times we do not realize that the world is more than just what affects us as a person. We are not much better than the apes in understanding what lies beyond our own forest. Very thought provoking. ~ Geez.

Dear Geez, thanks for visiting. Yes, I hope nobody is offended because I call my/our Christianity a legend, but that is how others view it. My thoughts changed when I learnd about the various indigenous spiritualies, in fact they're mostly far more kind to Mother Earth than we are. Except for the great empires of the Incas and Aztecas, most tribes cared for the Pachamama, Gaia or whatever one wishes to call it. The Spanish conquerors were the cruelest, IMO.
All the best, Gracy

Dear Terry, for once, I've been brief. Hard for me. Glad you think it's powerful. It's what I think, as I mentioned to Geez above.
Many thanks for visiting. Gracy
