My Last Ride

If you hear my exhaust
screaming down the highway
just know

my helmet is catching tears
no pillow will ever know

my engine is feeling pain
I could never tell you about

my gloves are holding me closer
than I'll ever let anyone get again

and if this is my last ride
just know

I loved you until my last breath.

Hello Kristen

A bitter sweet read. Enjoyable though. Hope it's not the last ride and hope your voice to reach.
Thank you for sharing.

Thank you

very much, Rula. This isn't my last, but sometimes... sometimes I wish it could be.
