My new year's Resolution

I won't remain the same,
I won't endure the pain,
I won't beg for friendship,
Free to leave or to stay,
I won't send out my emotions,
I will build them a place,
Somewhere beyond the seven oceans,
Far away from people's gaze.

Excellent

The rhythm and pacing are great. I liked the theme and I think there is a clear thought conveyed here with a definite beginning and end. I really like the ideas about sitting with your feelings instead of reacting and letting them control you. I like the part about not begging for friendship, that’s personal for me at this stage in my life. I’m learning to let things come in their time. This is a really motivating poem.
