My Wild Rose

You were wild,
A tempest,
Free and unyielding,
A restless soul of great visions,
Loneliness your happy companion,
As you shattered the common,
With ink and pen,
You left us breathless,
As you breathed into us,
A new beginning,
For those who loved without regret,
And lived without fear.

Wild roses...

a favorite of mine. I like the simplicity and untamed feeling of this. Nothing that I would change. If I haven't welcomed you personally, welcome to Neo. ~ Geezer.

Keep ‘em coming

Another great offering. My suggestion if any would be

You left us gasping,
As you breathed into us,

Choose any word you feel works. Conversely could change the verb “breathed” in the second of those lines. It’s a matter of sounding redundant with to forms of the verb “to breathe” only separated by a few words.

Other than that it’s another amazing poem,
Tim

My Wild Rose

Hello, C.Wolff,

A very passionate poem. It always surprises me how poetry reveals itself while in the process of writing it. I feel the revelation here, almost like an awakening. That "aha" moment that leaves us breathless.

For me, I am wondering if I would feel a little more apt to "live without regret, and love without fear", but I still understand the inspiration.

Thank you!
