New Job, Same Story

In my recurring nightmare, I've begun a new job,
but my responsibilities are always very vague.

And I cannot find my car when the workday is done,
whatever that may have been.

And, on queue, my phone is unable to make a call,
or do anything of use to help with the predicament of my dream.
In an act of futility, I keep trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong.

These recurring themes feast on my anxiety
until they are full. But soon, and maybe again tonight,
I'm sure they'll be back with an appetite.

New Job, Same Story

Hello, Michael,
Dreams may be welcoming, and also frightening. I've had a few myself the past week or so. It's interesting to study dreams, but not dwell on those that bring about and feed off our anxieties. You've described these feelings so well. I hope writing about it helps, if this is truly happening to you.
Sweet dreams!

Dear Michael,

my recurring dreams are usually of betrayal or abandonment. probably due to my post traumatic stress disorder. I can appreciate the substance of your dreams. Excellent work!

I feel you Cat. I wonder

I feel you Cat. I wonder sometimes if our brains are trying to work out our anxieties in our recurring dreams. Writing about them seems to be a good thing.
