We be silent in the sorrow,
breathing only through the pain.
Bear our by-gone vacant faces
during drought, and flooding rain.
Weep in anger from mass murders,
as it happens once again.

No small change in our pockets,

A picture of a far off war
haunts us as we lie in bed.
And the mouthy politicians
trudge their boots inside our head.
