Old friends or old lovers

A single star
Cradled in a crescent moon,
Shedding a light
More silver than blue;
A wedding tomorrow.
Will that star still be there?
Is it some kind of omen
For the love they share?
It's funny how I can see it from here,
How they come together
In the heavens without fear.
I'll be watching tonight
To see if they meet again.
To cradle like lovers
Or kiss like old friends.

Old Friends or Old Lovers

Hello, Dandini,
I have to wonder if this is a real scenario... how coincidental! Beautifully written.
Thank you!

Hi Dandini, what a lovely,

Hi Dandini, what a lovely, romantic poem. Your imagery with the crescent moon and the star is wonderful.
I wonder who is to be married? I hope they cradle like lovers, but I see no reason why they should not kiss as well.
Enjoyed a lot, bring on more, Gracy
