The sun, brilliant on the trail today,
throws shadows here and there.

Free from the tyranny of clouds,
the silhouettes cannot hide their delight.

My thoughts add an asterisk to their unrestrained dance.

Hello, Michael,
There is a special time of day in the woods when shadows are most amiable, and I like to walk at that time - revisit that friendly feeling. If the hours of the day were chapters in a book, I'd put a bookmark in that space.
Thank you!
