Primrose Skyway

enticing primrose sky
shall today be the day I die
certainly not the day after tomorrow
that's my day off
and tomorrow is Sunday
I don't want to die on a Sunday
too many persnickety busybodies
flittering fresh from sweltering pews
so today is a good day
well. maybe later this evening
the primrosey sky is still too beautiful

Okay, this one made me giggle.

I'll have to hang this in my archives. It should be framed under a painting of some dour indian chief. (Be wary posting more than one a day or you'll wake the dragon).
Your poetry is, in a word, fun.

I like...

this one! I guess that it typifies my thoughts about dying. I always have a reason not to. Today, it is the Primrose Sky. Tomorrow it will be the smell of roses or the taste of a juicy burger. Sometimes just the joy of reading like-minded people such as yourself. Great work. ~ Gee

BL

You will not be asked to go, the journey is preplanned by others, they will not ask you if you have packed a bag or bought a ticket.
Mind you the trip is free, as to primrose skies that you have seen them they are in the past.
One day you will be called, but in a voice you may not hear, and the sky will be something you have never seen but it has always been there,
Yours Ian.T
