Productivity

Creativity.
Free flow of thoughts.
The sound
of music
and singing.
It's all part of
my life now.
The ability
to express
my thoughts.
The joy
in expressing them.

That's what
makes me productive.
The silence
in my mind.
The peace
in my soul.
It's all there now.

I'm so grateful
for these skills
newly learned
and constantly
activated.
Progressing
so nicely
so gently
so thoughtfully.

This sense of movement
makes me proud
of the way
I feel.
It provides
a flowing state
in my mind.
It gives me
a space,
a zone,
of freedom.

It is an area
in which I produce
profound
and pleasant
ideas.
Gives me
a sense
of possibility
and purpose.
This is the definition of
my productivity.

About This Poem

Last Few Words: Despite the fact that I began this journey as a result of my grief, I now feel like writing poems has become, for me, like a tap I turn on to let my thoughts out. Post therapy session, I no longer feel the need to dwell too much on the grief or angst, but every now and then it does emerge. I am making a real attempt to talk about what I now call my new and different life, and there are many positive things to discuss creatively. I have a lot of positive things to say. When I focus on the creativity and productivity of this process of writing my poems, automatically the positive is demonstrated, as you can see in this particular poem.
