Neopoet AI 5-29-23 version

The below is a computer-generated response from Neo, Neopoet's computer artificial intelligence:

The poem "Psapfo 266" is concise and evocative, capturing a sense of solitude and longing through its imagery of a moonless night and dreams haunted by stars. The brevity of the poem adds to its impact, creating a mood of quiet introspection. However, consider exploring more vivid descriptions or sensory details to enhance the reader's connection to the emotions conveyed. Additionally, you may want to experiment with different poetic devices such as metaphors or symbolism to deepen the layers of meaning in your work.

Psapfo 266

Hello, Dalton,
I was certain you had published other poems about Sappho, but looking through your work, I don't see them now. You had given me a bit of education about her at that time. I've been google-ing to try to understand the reference to 266, but don't seem to find anything. Could you help? Is this your version/translation of her Moon and Pleiades?

This is beautiful in its brevity - lonely. Especially with the haunting stars.

I'll be back after your response.
Thank you!

Hi Lavender

Actually I wrote this little poem years ago before I had read a word of Sappho. I thought it fitted in well in a series of poems I’ve been writing of late a cycle of 266 I plan to build up to a volume of 500 some purely romantic most of a mythological nature some purely erotic or sensual. Hence the numerical title unimaginative perhaps and the similarity purely happenstance. I suppose there’s no such thing as an original idea. Thanks for read hope that clears things up dear poet

Hello, Dalton,

Thank you for the helpful explanation! I appreciate it. I know you've educated me in the past regarding Sappho, and I needed the reminder.
Very lovely!
Thanks, again,

Dear Lavender

I’ll no doubt be adding further pieces from this cycle in the future. I admire how she was referred to as The Poetess as Homer was The Poet. She lived 26 centuries ago and is the oldest recorded female poet and I wish to honour her as well as compose my own letters

Dear Lavender

This came from a dream I had many years ago when many women passed by my eyes and I was without the power to make one mine. Hence dreams haunted by stars weird I know

Hello, John,

No, not weird at all! I think anyone in tune with their deeper selves can ponder over dreams and many times find subtle messages. I find that line intriguing and I always sensed that there was another layer to it. It is beautiful poetically and in spirit.
Thank you!

Hi Lavender

It’s called Warder of Stars the Poems of John Ellis. Though some poems you may wish to take with a pinch of salt or not read as there are a very few erotic. Another lamenting the sad loss of faith in modern society. Though as a whole it’s a work of love for all God’s people from the axis of love.
