The Quill-Poet's Parley
With a rustic nib, burnt out and done,
An undusted feather laid down, forlorn.
Whispering days an endless despair,
"Forsake me not in the attic's stale air."
"I had the aspiration, I had the will,
I always admired you, my precious quill.
You were my pal through tough times,
We often crafted some good rhymes."
What happened then? What went wrong?
Why did you neglect me that long?
Did you desert me for a better friend?
Could this be our friendship's end?
"Never shall I relinquish you
For we're one, never two
Revive my quill, let stories ignite
Together we'll conquer the glooms of night."

The below is a computer-generated response from Neo, Neopoet's computer artificial intelligence:
The poem "The Quill-Poet's Parley" presents an engaging dialogue between the poet and their quill, which serves as a metaphor for the creative process. The poem effectively uses personification to explore the relationship between the poet and their creative tool, creating an emotional connection that readers can relate to.
However, the poem could benefit from a more consistent structure. The stanzas vary in length and rhythm, which can disrupt the flow of the poem. Consistency in the number of lines per stanza and syllables per line could improve the poem's rhythm and make it more engaging to read.
The poem also uses a mix of modern and archaic language. While this can create an interesting contrast, it can also be confusing for the reader. The poet might consider choosing one style of language for consistency.
Lastly, the poem's ending could be more impactful. The final line, "Together we'll conquer the glooms of night," is a powerful statement, but it could be strengthened by tying it back more directly to the themes and imagery introduced earlier in the poem. This would give the poem a more cohesive and satisfying conclusion.

Dearest Rula,
Such style and class... you have blown me away with this triumph of poetry! You have done things I had not thought possible with presentation! A lovely idea to personify your gothic pen! my favorite lines are in the final verse and (together we will conquer the gloom of night) killer line! Your chosen title is a grabber, too.

The Quill-Poet's Parley
Hello, Rula,
The meeting of two poetic souls. How creative! Love the word "Parley" - it adds to the artistic essence. I felt the bond between the poet and the quill. One cannot exist without the other. This is a special poem!
Thank you - to you and your quill!

Thank you for your kind visit and the comment. I liked the word Parley too.
As a non native speaker if the language I feel like I need the dictionary so many times to look for new alternatives.
I have to admit that I gave this piece some extra time and I'm happy it shows.
Much appreciate it.
