Rabbit, Dear

I don't know where I've placed my pen
It might be near dear Rabbit's den
A cozy time on Thursdays when
We'd tea at three with Winter Wren

I s'pose I shall drop in again
Perhaps with Chick and Mother Hen
Who roost and rest in Rosy Glen
Yet call on Rabbit now and then

I'll stew and study where I've been
If suddenly I get a yen
To 'scribe a poesy with my pen
About dear Rabbit in his den

When finding it, I'll shout out ten
"Hip, Hip Hoorays" and one "Amen."

Yes...

I loved this! As Cat has said, It is very much like a nursery-rhyme for the child in all of us. I would definitely read this to my children; grown as they are. Absolutely brightened my day, thank you for sharing this with us kids at heart. ~ Geez.

I too

dear Lavender.  l really like the rhyme. I wonder what might bring such writing. "Whimsical" is absolutely  the right word.

Thank you for sharing!
