Rain in the summertime
`
Raindrops trickle on the forest's brow
Forming transparent puddles,
That reflect your querying face
And catches the dream of a moment.
Storm cells brew on the radar,
Fearful in their presence as they pass
Life on the brink of forever's portals
Until thunder morphs into cuddles .
In the streams your form takes shape,
Eyes that gaze with hope and love
Flowing into a moving river of blooms
Summer showers caress the fields.

Hey J!
Easy on the painkillers. :-)) Hope your well on the mend. How did it go, btw?
Yup, it's been swinging from heatwave to severe weather here like a crazed pendulum.
I have migraines when there is much electrical movement in the atmosphere. Not a happy thing.
And you can't sleep in this muggy weather either.... grrrr.... lol. Yes, it's steady amounts of gentle rain that we need.

Thanks kindly, Mand
I much appreciate you letting me know that there is more than one line to choose from. I usually have about one good line of verse in about three poems.

thanking you Ian
that memory and experience I hope is translatable and transferable other than in poetry. There is much beauty in this world still. If we found our prior eyes and used them again.
