Rainbow (Rhapsody)

Co-written with Words.Unwritten

If you could listen to the colors

And if you could see the sounds

You would hear the rainbow

And see how my heart pounds

Each time that our eyes meet

And as I hear your voice

A colorful fountain of harmony

Erupts without a choice

Blue collides with yellow

Yellow blends to red

Kindles warmth within my heart

And hope inside my head

You brought my colours back

Now my soul’s no longer black

Beheld the beauty of my song

When all the others saw it wrong.

Red is the beating of my heart
Orange are sweet sunsets
Moon is yellow on the rise
Are we green with envy yet?
Blue as clearest summer skies
That fade to indigo
Purple and violet blanket holds
The stars in your eyes so here we go

Silver chased with gold
When my stories all unfold
At last my life feels whole
You reached in and touched my soul

You clung to every word
the sweetest song of the freest bird.
You saw my colors and heard my song
All the others heard it wrong

Red is the beating of my heart
Orange are sweet sunsets
Moon is yellow on the rise
Are we green with envy yet?
Blue as clearest summer skies
That fade to indigo
Purple and violet blanket holds
The Stars in your eyes so here we go

I was frightened and alone
And then you came to me
With love and understanding
As deep and mighty as the the sea

You turned my life around
Heard my colors, saw my sounds
You compliment me and my song
Everyone had done it wrong

And and you saw it all along

I paint a rainbow with my song

About This Poem

Last Few Words: A fairly comprehensive addendum to a beautiful poem by Words.unwritten. This is already being recorded as a song for release as a single. Pretty exciting.
