The Road Taken

I crossed a crooked creek
a crooked creek I crossed

and there along the other side
was poet, Robert Frost

we found a forkened road
a forkened road we found

we flipped a coin most casually
to choose where we'd be bound

we took the taken road
the taken road we took

and there we saw no difference
no matter where we'd look

I crossed a crooked creek
a crooked creek I crossed

went on my way most gleefully
as so did Robert Frost

Hello lady lavender 🪻

I am quite speechless here. I found this form exquisite . I have the feeling that you've invented it yourself, haven't you?

Needn't to say that the inspired title and theme of Frost's"Road not Taken" blew me away as well

You never stop amaze me my dear friend.

Thank you for sharing this one .

Going back for a second read.

Hello, Rula,

After studying Frost's true intent of The Road Not Taken, I thought this would be a nice spin, kind of coming to the same conclusion - both paths were almost identical, and unnecessary overthinking can burden our choices.  Thus, casually tossing a coin to determine which road to take, accepting the choice, and going on cheerfully about our way.

Thank you so much for reading, My Friend!

Whoa...

I love this one, especially the made-up word!
That forkened road was a real forken pleasure.

There is this poignant…

There is this poignant release and I daresay those that grew up on Frost could relate to most easily. I am deeply moved: "nothing gold can stay..." Superb, L. sublime!
