awake dawn
fuscia chill
stars cling like ice
to melt the bitter blue
so deep and cold
tangy dreams drip
from bird bone limbs
satin souls
wavering
the sleep breath
resltless roam
the lovers kiss
salted like the fin
Mermaids caress
wave worn stone
our amulets
of tears like frozen
teeth about our
throats
and the howl of waves
in black cavern ribbon
at our station

Hi Steve
As usual...time-stopping, breath-taking imagery. for some reason, this reminded me of Dylan's book, Tarantula, although I have to say, this poem makes more sense!
It also evoked some of the Space band Hawkwind for me as well, but that's just me, lol.
And it evokes an awestruck wonder of sadness in me too, I can't describe it any other way.
Bookmarked. Thanks man, this is excellent.

emotional crest
time of seasons change
of memory caught hanging at the precipice edge
is that when memory sharpens the clarity
the focal point drawing all in to the plate of our awe
and ache
Thank you Jim

pinhole box
remove the sleeve for passage
of an inverted wavelength
falling on negative
steadied between breath
memories storing memorys
in cells
inverting them
converting them
in the most intimate
and vivid manner
somehow
sometimes
