SCOUT LIGHTENING

A memory suddenly appears
like bolts of lightening
before a summer storm
striking the heart
with regret and tears.

joyful recollections from far away
torture wounded hearts
bleeding still
with thoughts of yesterday

I do believe that this is the best I have seen from you in some time! Not that anything that you have written is bad or even mediocre, it's just that this is soooo good! Short, succinct and powerful, like the memory that flashes in your mind. You even managed some rhyme! I like it. ~ Gee.
