Short

Life comes, and then quickly, it is gone

All in all, it does not last all that very long

In just one day, you can live a lifetime

Either trapped outside or inside your mind

Turn around it is gone before you even know

The longer time passes, the shorter it grows

Anyway, you look at life, it is just ephemeral

Couldn't get through it without my Demerol

Well done

Excellent use of the word and conveying its meaning throughout your poem. The line "in just one day, you can live a lifetime" stood out to me. Great job.
