This side ...this side..this side....

We have a girl child, this side
Who killed herself,this side
Because bullies,this side
Posted her nudies online,this side
Her family is still crying, this side

The loss of life,this side
For a few laughs, this side
Why the brutality,this side?

When did we lose our humanity, this side?

I feel the anger and desperation. I don't understand why AI won't make a comment. Keep putting your feelings on the website. It's good for everyone here at Neo!

This Side

Hello, Koki,
You've said so much with this. Sometimes, poetry should be angry...
Thank you,

Having Been...

Having been the victim of bullying before there was a cyber, I can see how social media can amplify the intensity and devestation.  Children can be so cruel and, unfortunately, that cruelty carries over into adulthood, especially on social media. I don't know if our society can ever recover. Perhaps with some people writing about it and calling it what it is, maybe we can save ourselves.

I was also bullied before social media

But, then experienced a situation where my ex-husband threatened to post intimate photos of me online. I immediately contcated a lawyer and he was sent a very stern "cease and desist" letter. I was fortunate to have been able to stand up for myself BEFORE anything happened. But, this poem reads so angry because I literally had a panic attack for what felt like the longest moment of that day. Thank you for the comment Steve.
