Memories like ashes
Blowing in the breeze
Separating and disappearing
A whisper
 
Thoughts of you 
Like tinder 
Burning me in your flames

Incinerating my brain
Leaving me breathless 
Insane

I construct barriers 
To keep you away
Too hot to touch

I like this

When I read about the ashes, I can see them in my mind spinning and twirling in the wind. This is great writing when you can SEE and FEEL what the writer is saying. I love it. Brings back some memories with it as well, bitter sweet ones i'll never forget.
