"A SQUEAL IN THE WIND"
"A SQUEAL IN THE WIND"
Maragaret Ann Waddicor 4th March 2012.
Far out on a limb,
the old rotting limb of a forgotten past,
peppered with sounds and syllables
of sentiments passé in modern minds,
a washed-up-on-the-beach-flotssam
of forgotten dreams,
woven into the sands of the day,
their time too passing every nanosecond,
all soon to be gathered up
and plunged into the deep of the ocean,
watered down to a whispering squeal in the wind,
and never heard of again.

I wrote it just this morning
I wrote it just this morning
on being asked about joining someone who writes such totally different poetry from mine;
I said this about mine in the reply.
So happy you enjoyed it, that's what is lovely to hear,
making someone smile.

I was flying last week
I was flying last week
My co-passenger was from
Holland
I felt twas my good luck
traversing the seven seas
with your perfumed poetry...
I nearly asked of him
then fell short of words,
he ought to have known
the poet in you

Dear Lady,
Such imagery as the likes of which I ofren strive for. You have seemingly effortlessly have achieved!
all soon to be gathered up
and plunged into the deep of the ocean,
watered down to a whispering squeal in the wind,
and never heard of again.
lovely.

Oh golly a Lady!?
Not to belittle your compliment!!
I have been called that elsewhere
but from another perspective altogether.
I spend every day looking at so many fascinating things in nature
and man made, that images come falling into mind;
the only dread I might have on going to prison,
should that ever arise,
would be being put in a modern streamlined room
with no cracks in it!!!
Thank you Cat, Ann.
