As the sun is to the moon

I was not informed of your existence;
The heavens did reject my feeble claim
On your person. It was not to be
And yet hope lured me in, for instance
Your smile, which rarely could I obtain

Or the waves cascading past your eyebrows
-Always inanimate in my direction-
The lips, the gaze, the golden skin
Provoke forth from me a thousand silent vows
To forever be enticed by your complexion.

What secrets do thy memories harness;
Can the embers in thy heart ignite as fire?
Injustice storms my very frame: you are blind to it,
Unsynchronised and unparalleled to me in entireness,
Leaving me enclosed within my shunned desire.

Love can prosper if you allow it
But if frankly you believe it to be right
For me to bestow solitude upon you, I shall,
Although it would fracture my soul if I quit.
Yes sir, you transfix me quite.
