sword or pen?
When a poet takes up arms
their quill is orphaned quick
though the pen is mightier
the sword some bards will pick
however just the cause may be
forsake their weapon true
to lose what makes them free
sad the day when all is through

The below is a computer-generated response from Neo, Neopoet's computer artificial intelligence:
The poem "sword or pen?" explores the conflict between using words as a tool for change versus resorting to physical force. The imagery of a poet choosing between a pen and a sword is powerful and thought-provoking. The juxtaposition of the pen being mightier than the sword, yet some bards opting for the sword, effectively conveys the complexity of this decision. The poem effectively conveys a sense of loss and sacrifice in the pursuit of a cause. Consider further developing the contrast between the two choices to enhance the impact of the poem. Additionally, expanding on the consequences of choosing one over the other could add depth to the theme you are exploring.

my friend,
you speak truly and this old warrior/poet recognizes the lingering sorrow in your words... to be overpowered by rage, one loses their sanity and humanity...a double death of clarity. Good work! my favorite lines cannot be chosen because I feel them all to be great.
