Tenacity

The ivy stretches up the wall
its leaves so small
but still it tries
to touch the skies.

It clings to mortar and red brick
its leaves so thick
its hearty vine
and veins entwine.

It trails along the window frame
showing no shame
in wanting more
than earthen floor.

For you, Eddy,

The Light Bulb

There once was a bulb in a lamp
who'd seduce the room like a vamp
she'd tickle the walls
then caress the halls
while shinin' her cute little amp

Love this

Ivy certainly is tenacious. Reminds me of a vine I have here at the house. Cut it down and it seems to come back stronger and with more tenacity. Most stubborn plant I have ever seen! Well done.

Hello, Carrie,

Ha, ha! Yes, it is! Still, a pretty good role model for the virtue of tenacity.
Hope you are doing well!
Thank you for reading!
