About This Poem
Last Few Words: My first computer. Little did we know how much they would change our lives. Now they listen to our voices, remember everything we’d like to forget, and promise to record our spoken words, be that truth or lie, forever.

Hello Ruby
Unfortunately all you've mentioned is very true. We become slaves to those electronics. AND, it is "irreversible"!
You said it all and you said it really well.
A fresh take of the prompt, I believe.
Thank you for sharing!

Hi Rula, thank you for reading and commenting. This past couple of weeks have really hit home as my laptop died. OMG, it made me more aware of how technology has overtaken our lives and not always for the best. Take care, Ruby xx

Hello, Ruby!
"...by clicking I am not a robot, you become one..." Lordy Lord, this is so true! I have such love/hate toward technology. Let me sit on the porch with a friend or two to converse with, and a cool drink. But then, here I am conversing with you, My Poetry Friend, half way around the world.
Like this very much!

Hi Lavender, sorry for my tardy reply, please forgive me. Thank you for reading and commenting on my poem. The idea that computers should have been of great benefit to the human race was lost when businesses saw how to make us into slaves. At least we have a voice in our poetry. Thank you for reading my outrage. Ruby xx

It does make one feel
It does make one feel uncomfortable in un-wordable ways and not to mention the disclaimers, T&Cs and release papers just makes it all the more one sided. Almost like a tangible demonstration of having "sold" our souls to the devil and some such saying. Powerful write Ruby.
