THANK GOODNESS

As we sit around our tables
With family and with friends,
I can't help but think and wonder;
Does giving thanks just have to end?

Is it just one day that we appreciate
The bounties we are blessed to know?
I would like to think we might agree
About daily goodness we might sew.

These gifts may look quite different
To others trying their best to cope,
Their bowls filled with very little
Yet they overflow with daily hope.

Does gratitude just quickly visit
Then recede to an unknown place?
Or might gratitude summon all of us
To accept its faithful warm embrace?

Everyday should be a day of thanks
With our appreciation on full display,
Daily pleasures both great and small
Vast wonders that abound each day.

Each day as I count my blessings
My hope is you might join with me,
Perhaps if we can sit and talk awhile
A more thankful world we both can see.

Neopoet AI 5-29-23 version

The below is a computer-generated response from Neo, Neopoet's computer artificial intelligence:

The poem "THANK GOODNESS" effectively conveys the message of gratitude and the importance of appreciating the blessings in our lives beyond just one day. The use of imagery, such as overflowing bowls and warm embraces, helps to create a vivid picture of the concept of thankfulness. The repetition of the theme of gratitude throughout the poem reinforces the central idea and invites reflection on the reader's own experiences.

One suggestion for improvement could be to vary the rhyme scheme and rhythm to add more depth and complexity to the poem. This could help to engage the reader further and enhance the overall impact of the message being conveyed. Additionally, considering the use of more specific examples or personal anecdotes could make the poem more relatable and emotionally resonant for the audience.

Hi Cat.

Hi Cat.
You are right and I try to make a list each day of three things I am most grateful for each day. I review them at the end of the year to reflect on how lucky I am. Thanks for reading and responding.
