Thoughts from the bath
Many learned souls
pontificate on high.
They scratch their heads and ask themselves
what happens when we die?
But despite all the wrangling
and all the questions asked,
it's something we won't know for sure
until we've breathed our last.
About This Poem
Last Few Words: Instead of singing in the bath, I wrote this in my head. It's supposed to be light hearted, not a deep and serious piece. But then, you probably worked that one out. I just felt frivolous but sadly no magnums of champagne were consumed in the creation of this poem - not even a miserly glass.

until we've breathed our last.
then we won't know at all
have you ever
seen a dead rat
I dissected a frog
to see it's inners
then after sealing it back
it didn't come to life
I said miss
the frog is not reacting
She sadly smiled
it never will
life is as long as it lasts
when death comes
one becomes a historical past
from some body
one becomes a no body
then when buried or cremated
becomes just a sole body

your poem
As Nabokov said, "life is full of so many surprises, why should we expect any less from death".
So I'm not even sure we will know what happens even "when we've breathed our last."
Another approach is by a favorite of mine, Krishnamurti. He would say don't bother asking such questions as we can't possibly answer them, so forgettaboutit and enjoy your life!

I loved my baths...
my man crew..we worked out at the gym
all alphas....then....
hot tub chatting of the conquests
and many women....
whom then....wanted the in shape
shape shifters
so long ago..2002// i was into the rowing
machines...a female brunette..older but in
great shape pulled her rowing machine back
.this is an italian town and gentlemans motorcycle
club town..and intel town....did I ever say it was
ORGANIZED...oh..excuse me..its organized
i can get my crew to pull files...ho hum yawn...
oh....wake up...brunette worked for top end
car dealership...brunette ..long hair...ringlets
pulled her rowing machine back....she saw
it was me...mr nickel and dime.....i motioned
for her to pull it equal...which she did...
why equal? on the road....rule is mean are out
by fifteen feet..its a masculine rule.....but in
battle mode....she looks after the nine and six
and i look after the three and six
...and if need be flank left....
I would rather have cinderella chase down
someone....
then on my bitch seat....
if I have to......i got that covered
.
talked to a hardcore working the shop
said my old time neighbour of 2010
is now working my old resturant on main
drag..........wow..I like her..
so shes moved up........
seeing is believing
she drives her little motorbike.
shes red head...about thirty now
nice neighbour ten years ago
told my hardcore chummie
male today..good...
she deserves it
I remember our starter hood
was friendly to the dudes who
were my age that worked
docks.
cant say what city
or the young twenty somethings
that liked me
practical
more then anything
these girls today
..are from king pins
that had daughters
some dont take risk
to have children
cause they are bi
or queer
or just too cheap
..ha ha..
jk..
I look at it like a wolf pack
I RAISED my spawn
and took on other brats
from males too righteous
stupid to raise their own
young
so I reap benefits
got my own bike pack if I won
a million plus...put old harleys
under us........built a clubhouse
..no need..
i got a queen...true princesses
princes this time around
homies and outworld intel
context.......
thank U...
Jayne..ur writing is bang on
and I super relate
..thank U
Mr Wolf!!!!!!!!!

Hi Mark
Hi Mark
Not really a strange relationship lol, just I have the time to think and reflect when I'm in the bath. I just happened to be reflecting on death and dying-you know, like you do in an idle moment.

Oooh I am sorry about the bath.
When I had my pot on my leg for 7 weeks, driving and baths were the two things I missed most.
The pot came off last week. Still got to take it easy on the driving, but the baths have been much appreciated.

Very clear and succinct
Needless to say I like it. Will not mention what I believe because belief and knowledge are two different things. Once again my hat off to an excellent wordsmith.

Hi Jane
I've not had a bath in years. O how I miss them.
But then I shower every other day. Its not the same. My the fires of Lucifer consume the fools who invented showers. You could never fall asleep in one of those things

Why not?
I wrote a sonnet about dieting. It was fun to write.
