THROUGH A WINDOW
THROUGH A WINDOW
acacia and red ixora bleeding
under the mid day sun, couched in velvet green,
a mimosa tree sensually swaying
In an ocean breeze… these I see
in frames horizontal through open
slats of mahogany.
like Tantalus I long to drink the cool waters
before me, but I too am crucified
to a stone not of my own making.

astounding work!
we have an accacia right outside
the door here at Bunnis
beautiful decorative...
the sing in a different voice
then poplar or maple in the
wind
Your writing is still as vibrant
and descriptive as ever
The Essence is strong in
this one!
Thank U Geremia!

hello,
do you remember me? I always found something within your poetry with which I could identify! I really can relate to this:
like Tantalus I long to drink the cool waters
before me, but I too am crucified
to a stone not of my own making.
the longing and regret are palpable within these lines...I know what it is like to be my own worst enemy!
always, Cat
