Toswawtomo..or To Swim Again Within Those Moments..

Toswawtomo.. or

To Swim Within Those Moments…

As I gather up my clothes,
from the river bank the sun
steams our skins.

We had swam naked, eyes
wide open to the chill as
parts shrunk from the waters.

Our voices were echoing
male female in a
scattering of time,
from the old red barn the
Owl hooted his annoyance,
it had no clock.

This moment lasted hours
and the hours of this
present time were ours,
we held our time gently
as not to break.

Each were enthused by the others
presence, this bond would take
many fun filled movements.

Shadows lengthened as skins
were warmed, clothes loosely
draped on branches or body.

Voices were giggling in
the shade, for some it
remains at this point

For as we walked home
fearing separation,
knowing this would never
be recaptured that day ended.

This is an awesome write. Loved it. Albeit, the last line did not flow well. It tripped me up on first, second and subsequent reads.

Great memories
