Traffic Accident
Traffic Accident
When I stopped at that busy intersection,
Pausing there, absorbed in deep reflection,
Absently gazing at some vague attraction
That lulled me into deepest stupefaction,
The traffic light had changed. Car horns tooted,
At first somewhat short and muted
And then in a continuously impatient blare--
Wow! did I ever feel the drivers’ hostile stare.
I set my car into a rapid motion,
Followed by a crash and loud commotion,
Then saw the motorcycle cop approach me--
Limping, rubbing one injured bloody knee.
I could tell that man was more than mad,
But let me tell you briefly what he said:
“Gawd-!$^#@&*^##!!”

If.....
you're going to hit someone, probably better it's not a policeman.
Very amusing.
