The Traveler

He traveled across many universes
Trying to find the one he had left behind
Looking to catch the emotion in verses
Versus the different paths that fate had aligned

He entered through many doorways and portals
Through every gateway and wormhole to explore
With a knowledge not yet disclosed to mortals
Searching for the one that made him want some more

He trekked through hundreds of parallel worlds
Through realms and dimensions not yet known to man
Through vortexes where light and space warp and swirl
Until he’d reach the dream that once held his hand

He spent several centuries and ages
Racing through galaxies in the great beyond
Through time, through all the historical pages
Looking for the one to finalize this bond

He passed up all the greatness that could occur
He passed up on riches, he passed up on fame
Until one day as he rested, he found her
And when their eyes met, he just whispered her name…

The Traveler

Hello, Wallyroo,

After such a dramatic build up throughout, what a lovely, tender final stanza.

Quite beautiful.

Thank you,
