True Love
Paul and Chrissy
Young Paul, with eyes so bright and keen,
A playful spirit, always to be seen.
Young Chrissy, with a gentle, sweet allure,
A smile that promised joys forever pure.
They grew as one, through childhood's sunny days,
In shared adventures, and in loving ways.
Their hearts entwined, a tender, youthful tie,
A budding love beneath a summer sky.
Then came a day, when fate did darkly loom,
Chrissy near lost, consumed by sudden gloom.
But Paul, so brave, with strength beyond his years,
Dispelled the shadow, dried her falling tears.
And later still, when danger's grip did hold,
And Paul's own life grew tragically cold,
Then Chrissy rose, with courage strong and true,
And brought him back, to skies of hopeful blue.
Through passing years, their bond did never cease,
Their love a haven, bringing lasting peace.
They walked together, hand in gentle hand,
Across life's journey, to a promised land.
And when at last, their earthly time was done,
Beneath the setting of the golden sun,
They slipped away, their spirits took their flight,
Together still, in everlasting light.

Dear Mark,
I much enjoyed your tender story of Paul and Chrissy's love spanning a lifetime. Each of the verses have a lilting quality to them. Making for smooth continuity. My favorite lines are:
They grew as one, through childhood's sunny days,
In shared adventures, and in loving ways.
Their hearts entwined, a tender, youthful tie,
A budding love beneath a summer sky.
thanks for the entertainment to help pass my day pleasantly...
fondly, Cat
