Esker, your poem is very apt, as we seem to be having tropical weather here in London. As i read this i kept wanting to put it this way. fat green days of heat, stills the misting rain. Regards Roscoe..

lucky to have the great weather
some years it was rain all the time
the tomatoes didnt even ripen the
entire summer Imagine!!
just a short poem
to show I dont have to always write
the long works I like too

That Roscoe must be hiding in the tropical part of the Eden project,
We are 100 miles north of him and here is a Haiku to tell you what it is like LOL:-
Summer never came
Starving swallows flying low
By roadkill carcase
I am going to that tropical London they say that cities develop their own atmosphere.
