Void
Rain drips through this canopy
Feeding my insanity locked within
My own head without want of others
Words my mind bleeds thoughts
That repeat on an endless loop
Caught within my cranium of invention
That hides from attention I don't seek,
I'm blind to your appearance or aprisal
Who was I before I dreamt up all this
Madness or is that even true lost with
The unrelenting tide my head awash
With fear and endless torture
Twenty four seven I'm torn between
Hell and Heaven, an endless loop of
Self directed expression seeking a
Void to fill my own empty space.

Zigs, your poem is rich with
Zigs, your poem is rich with vivid imagery with an intense sense of inner conflict. The way you capture the relentless, cyclical nature of your thoughts really conveys a feeling of being trapped within the mind, where each idea feeds into the next, & there's no escape from the storm inside. The contrast between wanting to be free from others' judgment while also struggling with personal torment is particularly poignant.
It feels to me like you're exploring a struggle with identity & perception, how we view ourselves versus how others might perceive us, & how that affects our mental & emotional states. Your reference to heaven & hell suggests a duality, maybe reflecting a constant battle between desires & fears, or even self-worth.
Absolutely awesome piece of art my friend,

Hello, Ziggy,
Enjoyed the way this flowed, the inner rhyme and enjambment. Strong anxiety is felt throughout.
Thank you,
