What is life
If you take a minute
To look out
My kitchen window
You see colours
You bathe in them
And you hope in them
You praise them
Pain becomes, for those few moments- Nothing
What is life but a series of unfortunate events
And,a series of beautiful moments
What is life?

Your poem beautifully captures the juxtaposition of life's challenges and its moments of beauty. The imagery of colors seen through the kitchen window is vivid and evocative. The contrast between pain and moments of respite is effectively conveyed. Consider exploring the theme of hope further to add depth to your reflection on life's complexities. Additionally, you may want to experiment with the structure of your poem to enhance its impact on the reader.

What is Life
Hello, Koki,
I love the way the reader is looking out "your" kitchen window, seeing what you see, experiencing your life. Quite lovely.
Thank you,

My purple flower
I told you I'd write something more positive,
When I bought my crumbling home,
The previous owner said that he wished
He could have painted the view outside
His kitchen door, exactly when the sun starts rising.
I honestly thought he was daft.
Till my insomnia became worse.
And one morning, I opened the door, looked out and saw how nuanced the view of the dawn through my kitchen window was.
There were so many colours. Then I suddenly realised how beautiful just a few minutes could be.
I think I may have burnt my tongue on the coffee I was drinking too hehehe.
