What's up with this Nation?

Government and politics
the talk of the news.
Everyone says it
gives them the blues.

Walking on eggshells
we ride a fine line.
Finding a destiny
that just won't unwind.

Nothing is easy
as Mr. Anderson once said.
Given the circumstance,
may as well be dead!

The wars they are coming
they'll hit us real soon,
and blow us in pieces
just like a balloon!

Nothing to do about
the quandary at hand.
Just sit and watch
as socialism expands.

We wait for an answer,
but nothing appears.
It's been there now counting
some 100 odd years.

We just want to run
and find a safe place.
To raise up our children
and offer up grace.

They'll take all our weapons
your family and you.
They’ll butcher your children
right in front of you!

You may even eat
the flesh of your arm.
The prophecy holds
now sound an alarm!

You've nothing to live for
so do the right thing
and wait here for heaven
to clean up this thing!

Neopoet AI (premium) - 5-29-23 version

The below is a computer-generated response from Neo, Neopoet's computer artificial intelligence:

This poem seems to be a commentary on the current state of politics and society, using a blend of hyperbole and metaphor to convey a sense of impending doom and frustration. It is noted that the poem uses a consistent rhyme scheme, which contributes to its rhythmic quality and readability.

However, the poem could benefit from a more nuanced exploration of its themes. The poem's perspective appears to be quite pessimistic, with a focus on negative outcomes and a sense of helplessness. While this may be an intentional choice to emphasize the poem's message, it could potentially alienate readers who do not share the same perspective.

The poem also uses some graphic imagery, such as the lines "They’ll butcher your children/right in front of you!" and "You may even eat/the flesh of your arm." While such imagery can be effective in conveying a sense of horror or urgency, it may be too intense for some readers. It is suggested to consider whether this level of intensity is necessary for the poem's message, or if it could be conveyed in a less graphic way.

Finally, the poem could benefit from a clearer resolution or call to action. The final lines suggest waiting for a divine intervention to "clean up this thing," but it is unclear what the "thing" is or what the speaker hopes to achieve by waiting. Providing more clarity on this point could make the poem's message more impactful.

What's up with the Nation?

It is graphic and pesimistic as was intended and yes I believe something stronger than us will clean things up!

Dear John,

Do not let AI get you riled up. It has no idea of what emotions are or why we have them. It says some pretty ignorant things, so consider the source... my favorite lines are:

We wait for an answer,
but nothing appears.
It's been there now counting
some 100 odd years.

you call it Heaven, I call it Mother Nature, but we are both on the same page.

many hugs, Cat xxx

THANKS FOR READING THIS POEM AI REALLY SUCKS. I ONLY WANT TO SAY WHAT'S TRUE. WARS ARE COMING AND IT WILL BE TOUGH. THE THINGS WE THINK ARE IMPORTANT REALLY AREN'T SO IMPORTANT AFTER ALL. IN THE END WE GET WHAT WE REALLY DESERVE. WHO COULD ASK FOR MORE.
