Worm Food

Worm Food

I fall through the air at rapid speed

Become food on which the worms feed

I thought I would find comfort in the dirt

Only my death would take away the hurt

If you look closely you will see my pain

In the remnants of my still remains

Dashed to the ground like my dreams

Death is not as peaceful as it seems

Twisted minds go on as the world turns

As I become food for the worms

Taking...

one's self out, doesn't hurt the rest of the world. The old "They'll be sorry". doesn't really work. I've seen it too many times.
I guess, that's where the "fifteen minutes of fame" comes from. They talk about you for about fifteen minutes and say "Oh, what a shame", and in the next breath, plan a party for the weekend! If you really want to get even with the rest of the world; become a success! That will really piss them off! I like your take on it! Wormfood, what a pleasant thought! You have made your point in such a way, that it may give pause to those that are leaning in that direction. Good title, that leaves little to the imagination; and gives food for thought. Plain, simple words that make a person think! Nice job! ~ Geezer.

Thanks

I hope you are right about helping others. Part of me writing is the hope others will know they are not the only ones who feel the way they do. That they are not alone.

I too

Suffer from bouts of depression. I’m glad you turn to writing as it can be a way of organizing feelings and gaining some perspective. It’s also cathartic and what’s best is you’ve created something out of thin air.

Welcome and well done,
Tim

Yes if I didn't have writing I do not know what I would do. It helps take my depression away for a little while anyway.

Welcome to neopoet!

Your title, Oh what a great metaphor! My imagination is speedily activated.
Hope when life is hard & you are hard pressed on every side. We can have hope in all of life's trials.
Some times life never give us what we want. But no matter how life is, don't give up! Death has never been an answer to life troubles. Stay positive! Keep your faith alive. Tough time never last but tough people do . Don't

I love your composition. This poem is so succinct and beautiful!
