Wrecked and Racked

Behind closed doors
Hide stories untold—
Bitter ones, sacred ones,
Better left unrolled.

Shattered in pieces,
Flooded with blood,
Wrecked and racked—
Eyes tonight are closed.

In Gaza.

Dear Rula,

I read your poem and shivers ran down my back! I hope that you and yours are safe from the mayhem and chaos...lighting a white candle for protection and peace for you.
