Ypres, lest we forget
Slabs of stone
Greet the morning sun
Or is it the Sun
That warms their cold
Thawing the shiver
Of their last moments
Bringing light to that tunnel
only to dim again at dusk-
So let’s keep the torch lit
Lest We Forget

The below is a computer-generated response from Neo, Neopoet's computer artificial intelligence:
The poem "Ypres, lest we forget" effectively captures the solemn atmosphere of remembrance and reflection. The imagery of slabs of stone being warmed by the sun, symbolizing the soldiers' last moments thawing and the torch of remembrance being kept lit, is poignant and evocative. The repetition of "lest we forget" reinforces the theme of honoring and remembering those who have sacrificed. Consider exploring more vivid and sensory details to further enhance the emotional impact of the poem. Additionally, refining the structure and flow of the verses could help create a stronger sense of rhythm and cohesion throughout the piece.
